These terms govern use of the RoastPro desktop application and the cloud service it connects to ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
The Service is a tool for recording and analyzing the data produced during coffee roasting. It is currently in beta, and features and screens may change without notice.
Temperatures, phase detection results, and metrics shown by the Service are reference information. Responsibility for roast outcomes and for the safe operation of your equipment rests with you. The Service is not a control system for roasting equipment.
2. Accounts
- Provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
- A single account may not be shared between multiple people.
3. Devices and licensing
There is a limit on how many devices one account may register; the default is five. Once the limit is reached, signing in on a new device requires deregistering an existing one.
The Service checks device registration and concurrent use to enforce its license policy, and may restrict an account where use inconsistent with that policy is identified.
4. Ownership of your data
Roasting data, green coffee records, and cupping results you enter belong to you. The Service stores and processes them only as needed to provide the Service.
Data is written to the local database on your machine first and mirrored to the cloud while you are signed in. The cloud copy is a backup, but it should not be relied on as your only copy.
5. Prohibited use
- Reverse engineering the Service or attempting to bypass license verification
- Automated access that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Using another person's account without authorization
- Any use that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others
6. Changes and interruptions
We may add, change, or discontinue features. Significant changes that affect your data will be announced in advance. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, incidents, or the circumstances of our infrastructure providers.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided as is. Given that it is in beta, we do not warrant that it will operate without error or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
This does not exclude liability for damages caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Termination
You may request deletion of your account at any time. We may terminate your use of the Service if you materially breach these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
